There are various services provided by YOKUK. Among them are occupational therapy & physiotherapy, sensory therapy, water therapy, sand treatment and horse therapy. All of these therapies are conducted by a therapist and therapist at YOKUK.

In addition, YOKUK has also provided a disabled friendly service known as ‘Mobile Care’. The service, using 2 vehicles, is a van equipped with a “Hydraulic Lift” for wheelchair users and a Persona car.

For customers wishing to use this service, bookings must be made at least one day in advance for Kota Bharu area and 3 days for areas outside of Kota Bharu district from the date of travel. Reservations can be made by calling YOKUK at 09-7743033 or 09-7742033.

YOKUK also provides vocational training center services for people with disabilities who are graduating from school. The main objective of the vocational training set up is to educate people with disabilities in high school to learn and adapt before they go to work. Routine activities include studying the computer, cooking, sewing, car washing and gardening. This activity will be conducted by a teacher assigned by YOKUK to teach. All of these activities take place throughout the week from 9 am – 3 pm.

In addition, YOKUK also provides welfare assistance to eligible persons such as gotong-royong, repairs and home construction, ‘Myiesha Shop’ jumbo sales, disabled workshop seminars, equipment assistance and education & employment placement.

To register with YOKUK, a client or guardian can come to the YOKUK office with a copy of the JKM card, applicant’s identity card, parent and guardian, applicant’s birth certificate, doctor’s letter (if any), home location map and 1 piece of applicant’s picture.

YOKUK was established to help and ease the burden of the disabled in Kelantan. Therefore, YOKUK will receive and sign up for clients located and residing in Kelantan.

If the client is from Kelantan but lives outside Kelantan, YOKUK cannot register them as they do not reside in Kelantan. However, if the client is born in another state, but resides in Kelantan, they can register with YOKUK.

Hippotherapy recovery methods are one of the few therapeutic approaches available in YOKUK using horses. This occurs when a horse’s natural movements can improve a patient’s ability.

Before a client is allowed to undergo horse therapy, the therapist at YOKUK will evaluate the client as to whether or not he or she is fit for therapy.

Hippotherapy is usually performed by a trained therapist using a trained horse. Three psychiatrists are required to undergo this therapy. This therapy period is between 15-30 minutes including horse riding.

It depends on the current situation and the booking of persons with disabilities in Kota Bharu area.

No, YOKUK has only 2 vans which one of the van is the Mobile Care equipped with ‘hydraulic lift’ is used for a wheelchair person and the other van is also used for pick-up and drop-off YOKUK clients who have made bookings in every day work.
